That classic Carneros nose with hints of cherry cola, strawberry preserves, and wild berry compote. The palate is so smooth and silky with the jam packed fruit notes enveloped in bright acid and supple tannins.
This wine has such a delicate balance between big and bold and soft and elegant. The tannins are definitely pronounced (that mountain fruit) but there is just enough acid and ripeness to soften them up. It is juicy with a lingering finish of dried cherries, black licorice and plum compote.
Beautiful fresh raspberries and dried violets on the nose with a hint of orange pekoe tea and candied cherries. The palate continues on with those pronounced fruit notes along side a lingering acidity and supple tannins. This wine is so delicious now and could also benefit from at least 10 years in the bottle.

You must be familiar with this wine by now. It has become way more than a summertime favorite. It has notes of strawberry pie, guava juice and pink apple. It is crisp, refreshing and DRY with nice acid to complement all your favorite dishes. We enjoy it anytime, anywhere all day long. This year we made very little so don't miss out!
This is an amazing wine from a spectacular vintage and I wish I had more. These last few magnums are drinking incredibly right now and will surely continue on a few more years. Rich, ripe and full-bodied, this wine is loaded with black cherry jam and chocolate covered cordials and hints of spice. The mouth is big and bold but not overwhelming. The perfect balance of tanins and fruit and acid and oak.

How do I even describe this wine? It screams Sangiovese from a distant Italian village and takes no prisoners. It has dried violets, red licorice, tar, and wild cherries jumping in your nose. The palate is so smooth and soft, but also rich and fullbodied. It was quite a change from the Napa fruit and a winner the first year out of the gate.
